Info: Samara Albury was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. Samara spent a few years at IMG Tennis Academy (formerly Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy) following in her Brother, Mark’s footsteps. After high school she attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida where she attained a BA in Communications. After graduating at the tender age of 20, Samara visited Hope Town, Abaco and lived their for almost 2 years before moving back to Nassau to pursue a real estate career. She knew without a shadow of a doubt that Abaco would be her permanent home someday. Samara’s dream came true when she and her husband, Christopher moved to Abaco in late 2011. Samara has been selling real estate for over 10 years attaining her Broker’s License in 2009. She has sold over $50 Million worth of Real Estate and was a 3-time Top Producer at H. G. Christie in Nassau. Samara and Christopher are the owners at Hope Town Hideaways and she looks forward to many years of success in business. Samara has been involved in giving back to the community in many ways over the past 10 years through her brother, Mark Knowles’ Annual Celebrity Tennis Event which she helps to organize and co-ordinate. She also personally mentors and educates a young man who spent most of his life in a Children’s home. Her passions include helping others, painting, boating and especially writing. She has even had a few of her poems published.

Info: Steve Thompson grew up in the real estate business. His father, Joe was one of the founders of BREA (Bahamas Real Estate Association) and enjoyed many successful years as partners with his older brother Chester Thompson. In addition to real estate sales, Steve specializes in property management on the island representing dozens of homeowners. Steve’s roots can be traced back to Wyannie Malone on his grandmother’s side and the Eleutheran adventurers on his grandfather’s side. His wife Susan is a professional interior decorator in the area. Steve and Susan have three children and two grandchildren. Ask Steve about his time as a professional football player for the Redskins – no joke! Steve has dropped the football now for the Hawaiian sling and enjoys spear fishing as often as he can.

Info: Mark Knowles was born in Nassau, Bahamas and is a former World #1 professional doubles tennis player and winner of 4 Grand Slam Doubles Championships.
After being awarded a scholarship to the Nick Bollettieri's famed academy, Mark played three seasons at UCLA, where he earned All-American honors in both singles and doubles and majored in economics.
He played on the Bahamas Davis Cup team for more than 13 years and he is a five-time Olympian, reaching the quarterfinals at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
Now retired from full time tennis, Mark is a popular figure in the commentary booth of Tennis Channel and is a regular host of the annual World Team Tennis Smash Hits charity event, co-hosted by Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King.
Mark is known for his charitable endeavors, including raising over $1 Million at his annual tennis invitation in aid of children’s charities in the Bahamas.
Mark is an avid sportsman and counts golf, diving and all water sports activities as his hobbies.
He and his beautiful wife Dawn, have three children, 2 boys and a girl.
Mark is excited about his new career in Bahamas Real Estate and is looking forward to working with his sister, Samara Albury, at Hope Town Hideaways Real Estate.
